's CD, "Let's
Get It," to
be released in
January 2005
by SoBe Entertainment/WMG,
contains awesome
musical offerings
from these four
prolific teens.
Many of the songs
were written
by the group
themselves, while
on other cuts
they're assisted
by contemporary
hitmakers such
as Rodney Jerkins
(Brandy, Michael
Jackson, Jennifer
Lopez, Britney
Spears), Brian
Michael Cox (B2K,
Usher, Christina
Milian, Jagged
Edge) and the
talented production
team of Billy
Moss and J.R.
Hutson, for
MBM Entertainment.
The songs " This
Is What I Heard" (a
story of impending
heartbreak), " Counting
The Days" (an
ode to the yearning
of long-distance
love) and the
title song, " Let's
Get It" (a
solid party track)
show the group's
effortless transition
from balladeers
to hypnotic dance
numbers.
In addition to their outstanding vocal abilities, 4Mula1's four multi-talented members all contribute to the group's choreography. Though young in years, they're a professional, experienced quartet and are ready to step into their spotlight. All of them began singing at an early age...the vocal talent of 4Mula1 was fine-tuned in the church choir. Chaos was inspired by his parents, who were both ministers; AJ emulated his cousin, a church choir standout; and E-Maze began as another youthful choir member. G1000 received his inspiration and support for his talent within his family unit. They cite a wide range of musical influences, ranging from Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Prince and Jodeci to Commissioned, Creed, Beenie Man and Blink 182. They formed 4Mula1, which means "4 Men United in L.A.," while still in high school. Subsequently, they took shape under the guidance and direction of MBM CEO Billy Moss, who fine-tuned their concept and vision.
4Mula1 has worked hard and perfected their craft into an exciting musical presentation. As group member E-Maze says, "we're bringing true singing back to the game." So, as the r&b musical tide returns toward real vocals, 4Mula1 and their music are destined to become modern classics
